What do you do...

when you have a two hour lunch break, a fabulous scarf, and a sunny Florida day? You take ridiculous pictures. Mountains of them.

And then your friends Steve and Jeremy demand you take 3,000 photos of them in cutesy positions. And then you decided to never pull your camera out in front of "show people" again.

Beth Bag...

I have a dear friend...named Beth. We have performed in four shows together and she makes me laugh like nobody else. She is a funny gal. Well, I realized tonight that Beth does not have a ChaBanks bag. A crime! She needs one. So I made one.

Both fabrics are Michael Miller...the lower fabric is called Giraffe Garden. I don't have the name of the red/turquoise stripe. I guess I went on a MM shopping spree last time I bought fabric. But really, what's not to love. I hope Beth loves it.

Domestic Goddess...

I'm not wanting to set the women's rights movement back 50 or 60 years, but I do so wish I was a housewife. There I said it. No offense to you fabulous working women. God, I love you! But I want to stay at home and take care of my man...
That is not really 100% true. I mean it. I love what I do. Being an actor/stitcher/designer is pretty fabulous, but I would not mind one bit staying home and cooking, cleaning (not), and sewing. Enough of this bull***t. Let us get to what I did this evening.
Bobby has a job interview next week and we are really excited about it. We went shopping last evening to find a cutesy interview outfit. To the mall!!! He found some great gray slacks and a pretty purple dress shirt. I won't lie. I kinda picked it out. I like it when Bobby let's me pretend I'm Rachel Zoe.

Anyway, the pants in his size were too long. No problem. The last couple of plays I stitched on were full of tailoring for men. I'm not much of a menswear guy. But I am now. I tailored my little heart out. If you ever need a frock coat, call me.
Tonight I hemmed Bobby's new pants. I kinda love hand stitching. Especially when it is a cross stitch on a hem. My stitches are getting better and better.

Bobby is off getting a new tattoo right now. He'll see the pants when he gets back. Anything for my man. (give me a break...)

Owls...

I made a tote bag/clutchy pouch combo recently and it was snatched out of my hands while the needle was still smoking on my machine. (my lady friend Barb bought it. i can't hate her for having great taste.) But I made it out of this super fabulous fabric.

It is called "Owl by Myself" from Michael Miller. The Owls are pretty huge...I'd say 5 or 6 inches in height and really widely spaced. Modern and fun. The eyes are bright green. I'm not lying. It was fabulous.

This is what I used for the lining, straps, and for about 5 inches on the bottom of the bag. It is Michael Miller also, called Surf. I wish wish wish wish I had a pic of this thing but Barb NEEDED that bag!

I've been away...again...

Sorry!!!!

As you can see, I've been a bit busy.
Number One: I grew my hair out! Don't you love it?
Number Two: Me and my hair tried to save the space program, but the President wasn't having it. Sorry America.

But for reals...I'm really sorry you 3 or 4 readers that I have let down. I wish I was one of those bloggers that wasn't lazy. But I'm not. I'm lazy.
And I've been sewing sewing sewing sewing...
and now acting acting acting...
I've sewn some beautiful costumes for Hamlet and All's Well that Ends Well...
and now I'm playing Papa Bear in the Berenstain Bears on Stage.
I love you all...more soon!
