At the Springs...

A big giant group of us went to Wekiva Springs yesterday for some canoeing and swimming. Um, we canoed forever and ever. and I bitched and bitched...I was cranky. To the big giant group, I apologize. But after lunch I was much happier and ready to jump in the freezing cold spring. It was so much fun. Watching people dive down deep into the boil of the spring was fascinating. Did I go down? Of course not. I'm not crazy.

The Bobs and me after a full (or fool) day at the springs...you can see the clear water behind us.

This butterfly stopped by to say hi.

This is where we spent the day. The water was so cold and felt so nice! Especially on my sun burn.

Well I love Annie Lennox

And I think this mashup is pretty awesome...my friend David played it last night at his semi-famous Musical Mondays and I just loved it. So I wanted to share today.

Finished tote...

I finished this bag a couple of weeks ago...just now taking pics...on a cloudy day. I had no choice, it is cloudy every afternoon here. I can here the thunder rumbling now.
This bag is made of Mary Engelbreit fabric and a vintage dish towel my mom sent home with me. The colors match perfectly! I love when that happens.

The towel is off center and I really love how it turned out. And I did do that on purpose! For once.

Here is a closeup of the towel section. It says silver and it has a fun family trying to hit each other with the precious family silver. Maybe Bobby and I will hit each other with my flatware tonight. The yellow is so vibrant and I top stitched about the towel with yellow thread. I'm pretty proud of that one.

ps...that big callback is today. The play is called Dear Santa. I don't think I'm called back for Santa...or at least I  hope I'm not.

Finally some finished bags...

Here they are! I've had them done for a while but was lazy in getting them photographed.

Great fabrics, vintage buttons.

I love love love this fabric!

Well, if you like dots, you'll love this one. the lining is another red and black polka dot. Even smaller. So you start big, get smaller, and then find the smallest inside. I couldn't help myself.

ps. I have another callback tomorrow! Wish me luck.
